Obsidian Tattoo And Massage is a “by appointment only” small business, created by Justin and I, Marissa . We met in July 2008, in the past 10 years we have had a great share of “dark” and “light” "good and bad"moments. On the day of July 17th, 2018 we have finally put our passions together and have a shop that allows us to share our passion to our clients. We care deeply about our clientele and work our best to ensure our clients want to work with us again! When it comes to tattoo art and massage therapy, the two can not be done in a rushed atmosphere. At our place we take pride in knowing that we are able to schedule however much time is needed for each individual need. No two clients are the same and it is important that each client feels their tattoo or massage needs are tailored too. Justin has been an Artist his whole life, a Tattoo Artist for 6 years. I, Marissa have been a Licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician for 2 years. Growth is very important to Justin and I, we are constantly trying to learn new techniques to our trades. We want the best for our clients and don’t feel like they need to be charged so highly for services. We understand life and the unpredictability of each day, being “by appointment only” allows for planning when things happen.
Meet Justin
Tattoo Artist
Justin has been an Artist since the first time he could hold a pencil. At a young age his Family knew he was destined to be a very talented Artist. Justin fueled his passion with books full of Art; Graffiti, Characters, Portraits, Doodles, and Lettering. While working and helping his Wife raise their children, Justin has always been persistent with his art. In May 2012 Justin's fate forever changed when he met his mentor and friend "Sober Dave". Sober Dave had many years in the Tattoo industry, there could be no one better to teach Justin all what was to be learned about Tattoos. Justin Apprenticed and learned from Dave for 2 years, he spent everyday soaking up the knowledge and friendship Dave offered. Soon after Justin began Tattooing, things took a turn for the worst when Sober Dave passed away November 28, 2014. Justin continued to work in the space he shared with Dave for 4 years with the support of his family, friends, and clients; some, who have become friends. Fast forward to July 17, 2018; Justin and his Wife embark on a new adventure together as small business owners in the small town of Milliken, Colorado. Justin is proud to say Sober Dave paved the way to become the Tattoo Artist he is today and thinks of his friend often. "Until we meet again, Thank you for everything!"-Justin Romero

Meet Marissa
Licensed Massage Therapist & Esthetician
Marissa has always had a passion for helping others, she has a big heart and finds it easy to connect with anyone. Since finishing High School she has always struggled to figure out what it was she was meant to do in this world. She has had her share of dead end jobs, one of which she spent 10 years at. After being let go she was unhappy and unsure of her future. In the Summer of 2015, with the help and support of her family; Marissa made a decision to go back to school and become licensed in Massage Therapist and Esthetician. For the last year she has gained experience while working at Blooming Massage in Longmont, and at her shared business with her husband Justin. In May 2018 the two received news that a local store front in their town of Milliken Colorado was available for lease. July 17, 2018 Marissa and Justin have officially become small business owners. "I've finally figured out what my passion is, and I am lucky enough to be able to make it a business. I could not have done it without my family and clients, Thank you!" - Marissa
